A well-balanced red blend (83% Cabernet Sauvignon & 17% Shiraz) with tasting notes of mixed berries, plums, and smokey oak. The smooth tannins complement a long finish. Great on its own, but pairs nicely with most foods – even with burgers, ribs, chops, pies, pizzas and pastas. Easy-drinking, ideal for the everyday occasion.
On the nose this is light, floral, perfumed but the flavours are livelyand flirt between a sweet refreshing thyme joy and a soft bitterness. Pepper is left to crackle in a slightly hoppy aftermath. Newly dried green chillies carry strength throughout this Tepestate.
A powerful blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The wine gained elegant Christmas pudding and tobacco notes from 8 months maturation in 100% French Oak staves. Beautiful aromas of Cigar box, dark chocolate, eucalyptus and mint, together with the smoothness of the Merlot ensure a complex full-bodied red.
The Groenlandberg Pinot Noir is sourced from a selection of south-facing vineyards situated between 430m and 470m above sea level. There is minimal intervention in the cellar. Whole-bunch fermentations, gentle punch downs and a careful approach to oak maturation, create a delicate Pinot that expresses wonderful fruit and a strong sense of place.
