Medium to light, grainy edge, blue purple. Ripe plum on the nose with light spice backing. Hints of cherry and light earthiness. Good full mouth with more flavours than the nose suggested. Ripe plum with slight smoky trace. Light, supple tannins with smooth flow across the plate. Dry finish with ripe berry notes and lasting spice.

Buffelsfontein Pinotage is a 2018 vintage 100% Pinotage made from grapes that are grown in a mixture of worn granite and Hutton soil roughly 130 meters above sea level. It boasts a distinctive flavour profile consisting of an array of flowers, Cape fynbos, red berries, cherries and spices.

The Boland Cellar Coffee-Style Pinotage delivers layers of dark prune, plum and sweet blueberry flavours with a prominent cedar French oak finish, reminiscent of Mocha Java. Due to the beautiful extraction of Pinotage fruit flavours, the oak was well integrated and delivered a wine with a creamy lingering finish.

Oak matured with vibrant plum and ripe berry fruit on the palate. The wine has an intense aroma of roasted coffee beans followed by a smokey mocha-java aftertaste.
